Reese has always been fully involved in the farm and has an innate appreciation of nature. As soon as he realized one could make syrup from trees, he began saving towards maple sugaring equipment. Season after season, Reese improved his techniques and production grew as he did. However, he made sure to avoid using plastics in production and would never use the modern technique of pumping sap out of a tree. Reese has always been careful not to over-tap any one tree and never more than once a year. He offers his maple syrup to a devoted group of customers at the Pleasantville Farmers Market in February and March. Reese’s maple syrup can also be purchased directly from the farm.
