The meats available from the farm come from our own
free-range/pastured animals. They are humanely treated and
fed only organic/biodynamic feed. In addition, the animals
gain additional nourishment by foraging as they roam the farm in
the comfort of their own herd. For their optimum health, cows
and sheep are fed exclusively grass and hay. The young of all
farm animal remain with their mothers until natural weaning occurs,
starting their lives stress-free and with the best nutrition that
nature intended. Our butcher is certified organic and humane
and is in close proximity to the farm so that the animals do not
have the stress of hours of travel. Because we are small and
strive for all the health benefits of a balanced farm, not all meat
cuts are available at all times. We consistently carry cuts
of beef and pork. Rabbit and lamb are offered several

preparation suggestions. We welcome recipes and will post
them on the website.
Poultry
The poultry we offer include broiler or meat chicken, soup
chicken (males from the laying flock), and turkeys.
Broilers are great for any recipe and make good
soup too. These are usually available year-round.

Soup chicken breast meat is just fine for recipes
such as pot pies, chicken salad, and soup. The remainder of
the bird, however, is too tough for anything but soup.

All of our birds are raised on the farm in a humane
fashion. The poultry are fed exclusively on organic feed and
forage (vegetation, seeds, worms, insects) as they roam freely
around the farm. And, of course, hormones, antibiotics, and
medicated feed are never used. All fowl are processed by us
on the farm, reducing stress and enabling us to maintain our
standard of care and quality all the way through to the finished
product.
